We shipped a USPS priority package last week USPS via ShippingEasy. It arrived at its destination with status "Delivered, Front Door/Porch." ShippingEasy shipment history also showed "Delivered" with green check-mark. Today, I noticed that the shipment history now changed to indicate "In Transit - Visible Damage" with the green clock. USPS tracking still says "Delivered" with no other notes or alerts. What's going on here? Is USPS sending back something incorrectly or is ShippingEasy confused or might there be another problem? We have not heard anything from the recipient (customer) or the post office about a problem with the package delivery or its condition at this point.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for posting to our forum!
The delivery status icons are based on the USPS tracking updates. Sometimes the USPS can have issues or disconnects; we have seen instances where these will not update properly when that happens. The delivery icons are there for a quick view, but you should still go by the info on the USPS site for the definitive tracking status.
In this case, I would defer to what is showing on the USPS tracking page: that the package was delivered, no notice of damage.
Our Product Manager has reached out to our contact at USPS to see why this shipment did not have the correct tracking information sent to us. Please note that the time to resolve can sometimes take quite awhile since we will be going back and forth with USPS via email. As soon as I hear more, I will let you know. Thanks!
