Woocommerce Plugin

Hi guys

A feature request please.

Here's the problem: I changed from the Woocommerce plugin to the integration as it is now. It has one problem though: it doesn't do push notifications. This means that if I set the order status to Processing in Woocommerce, ShippingEasy will only know about it the next day, which is not very good in many circumstances.

I do understand that if you allow users to do a "Sync" manually and have it check the Woocommerce store for Order Status, it can put a lot of stress on your server.

However, the plugin worked really well, and I only changed because of the annoying reminder that kept popping up. Yes, the reminder thingy worked!

Some suggestions, if I may:

  • Limit the number of syncs allowed per account to, say, one per hour. But allow users to Sync.
  • Keep the plugin. It really is very good. Again, you could allow it to send a push notification only at certain intervals.

Thanks

Hugh

Hi Hugh, and thank you for posting to our forum!

Because WooCommerce restricts our ability to check for modified status changes via the Rest API, we can only download orders based on the created at time.

While that was a significant issue for us during our initial rollout of the REST API integration that you experienced back in September, we have since employed some stop gaps to help mitigate this problem.

Our app now makes 3 daily "lookback" sweeps during the day. These lookback sweeps will be able to sync WooCommerce orders that may have been changed from a non-syncable status to a syncable status.

Hopefully those sweeps have helped to sync your modified orders, and alleviate this problem for you. But if you are still encountering significant issues, could you please provide more specifics regarding those?

Thank you.
