For the last 3 months I've had a purchased label sitting in my USPS "Ready to print" queue. I don't want to print it because it was an accidental duplicate of a label I needed. I don't even understand why the label was duplicated.
The label number is Order M-072717-001 for $8.15.
Now with the endicia switch over, I think I need to do something, but I don't know if this is so.
I don't see any way on the "purchased labels" page to cancel the label and get a refund. All I want to do is get a refund for an accidental purchase!!!
Put another way, I do I get a USPS refund if I have purchased but not printed a label? Do I need to "print" the label?
Is there a way to get a refund, or is this one of those frustrating situations where a lack of customer support is designed to drive away users who don't do $1000s of business in a month?
Hello Mike, and thank you for posting to our community.
Unfortunately USPS shipping labels are only eligible to be cancelled within 30 days of purchase. The link below explains that limitation further.
How to: Cancel a label for a refund
To confirm, you can cancel any USPS labels for a refund within 30 days of purchase, if you do not plan to use them. The link above includes steps on how to do that if needed.
I'm very sorry that you were unaware of this and so much time has passed since purchasing.
We understand that having a live individual to interact with you is an important part of support. However, due to the fact that the Starter plan is provided at no subscription cost - and a customer service representative has an inherent cost - we're unable to provide a dedicated Customer Success Advisor to our Starter (free) subscribers.
Even then - and as you've found - all plan types do have the option to interact with our team using our public forums, which allows future visitors to also benefit from the customer support assistance that you receive.
If you would still like assistance outside of the forum regarding this label cancellation, please email issues@shippingeasy.com and reference this post. Otherwise to talk to a live agent, I would recommend registering on a paid plan (Basic or above). We typically have a free 30-day trial of all of our paid plans along with email, phone, and chat support. If you would like to pursue this option, please let me know as well!
Thank you.
