USPS tracking updates not reflecting in ShippingEasy again...

 Hi,

Our last two USPS tracking updates aren't correct in ShippingEasy even after 24 hours or even weeks. We have seen similar problems in the past.

9400110200881551804940 still shows "In transit" in SE, although USPS shows "delivered" Oct 25.    

9400110298370243914388 still shows "New" in SE, although USPS shows In-Transit to destination right now, over 24 hours after label & pick up.

We have noted that the USPS tracking web page looks different. Maybe they have changed the underlying connectivity with ShippingEasy as well?

One other thing we have noticed; we are bcc'ed on the customer's ship notification from ShippingEasy, but often we never receive a copy, leaving us wondering in the email was ever sent to the customer. Is there a way to confirm this? Fortunately, we also send a shipment notification from our ecom with tracking info. It's redundant, but if SE isn't always sending the tracking information, maybe that isn't a bad thing.

Is there a way to force a refresh to sync USPS tracking status or test that it is broken?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your follow-up message.

We are still working with the USPS on the delivery update issue.  It's been a very slow process.  There is currently no way to force a refresh with the USPS tracking to ShippingEasy.  I still recommend using the USPS tracking site for checking the status of shipments as that will have the correct information listed.  

We also have released a new feature that you may be interested in:  delivery confirmation emails which email your customer (and you if you wish) when an USPS shipment is delivered.  Here is how to set that up:  

As for shipment confirmation emails, I would recommend double checking that the order had an email address associated with it.  The email won't send at all if an email is not attached to the order.  

Also, you can resend an shipment confirmation email to your customer or yourself using the steps listed here:  How to: Resend my customer a Shipment Confirmation Email

In addition, I recommend checking with your email server to see if they can whitelist this email address:  noreply@customers.shippingeasyemail4.com

As soon as I have an update from the Product Manager about the USPS delivery update issue, I will circle back with you here and/or on the other thread.
