Sustainability with Shipping Products

I run a company that does a fair amount of shipping, about 30-50 packages a day.

We've been aiming to be more environmentally friendly and conscious about the packaging we use. I was wondering if there was a way that shippingeasy could recommend for some companies to work with to get good sustainable shipping supplies such as mushroom, seaweed, recycled and pulp materials for replacements of poly bags, boxes and bubble mailers.

As shippingeasy grows and encourages more people to ship I think it would be great if shippingeasy and companies like it bare some of the responsibility of educating people on sustainable shipping methods.

But would be great if you guys had some more recommendations for things like sourcing materials and things like that, just as a suggestion but hope to see some more out of it!

Hello Chris!

Thank you for posting on our community forums! That is a great suggestion, thanks for bringing it up! Currently, we don't have a company that we recommend for good sustainable shipping supplies other than the supplies from USPS/Fedex/UPS themselves. I'll be happy to pass this suggestion onto my team for you.

How about adding an option for buying Carbon offsets through Shipping Easy as well.

I also STRONGLY support this feature and hope for prompt addition of it!

For instance, I use UPS more than half the time (e.g., vs USPS), and I want to enable UPS Carbon Neutral shipping when creating a label with SE? Selecting it per label request would be ideal, but even making a setting at the SE account-level to apply to ALL UPS shipments would be reasonable. 

There have been times that I skip SE entirely just for this feature.

Unrelated suggestion: On labels created in SE but billed to my UPS account, none show up in my Quantum View. I'm unable to use administrative features such as changing the delivery location, etc. UPS.com doesn't see me as the sender. I've also skipped using SE for this specific reason.

Hello,

I also would very much like to see the option to select UPS Carbon Neutral for shipments.

I currently have to leave Shipping Easy and purchase directly from UPS to do this. I am working on pivoting my business to highlight our environmental responsibility, and would like to make all of my shipments going forward carbon neutral.

Yes, we also want this option to select UPS Carbon Neutral Offset!  SE, PLEASE work on getting this option available.  It is in very high demand from our customers!
