Duplicate shipments and inventory

0

Hello,

We have customers almost every day say their packages are lost and the duplicate shipment function you have is great except one thing!

It doesn't adjust inventory when a duplicate shipment is made, can you please change this so when we ship a duplicate order that the inventory is adjusted?

Thanks,

Chad

UPDATE: ShippingEasy retired the Inventory Management subscription in June of 2020. Our Product Catalog stores a comprehensive list of the products you sell and allows you to add your product information to leverage product and SKU details to ship more efficiently. Learn more about our Product Catalog.

Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers.

Oh my, that's not good.  That is more of an error to fix than an enhancement.  I for sure think this is important to prioritize.

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to post in our community forum. Currently, we do not make inventory adjustments on or off the actions on the Shipment History page because there is no way for our system to know what items within the order we need to adjust the stock for.

For example, if someone creates a return label, are all items in the order being returned or just one? The same could be said for canceling and duplicating a label. Was the order canceled and then duplicated because they printed the wrong label type, or was it duplicated because they had to send more inventory to the customer? Since we cannot be certain that the inventory adjustment we're making is the correct one so, for now, we don't make any.

With that being said, if you know other merchants who would benefit from this feature, please have them post their feedback here. It may be something that our product team can eventually build-out.

Thanks!
