Manage Ship From Addresses in Settings | How To

ShippingEasy gives you the ability to add and manage multiple Ship From addresses that can be configured to print on shipping labels [based upon the assigned Store, User, Orders, and by Shipping Rules].

This article will guide you through managing your Ship From addresses in SETTINGS, including:

  • Adding a Ship From address

  • Editing a Ship From address

  • Deleting a Ship From address

  • Assigning Ship From addresses to packing slips

User Permissions

In order to manage Ship From addresses in ShippingEasy you must be logged in as the Account Owner or as a User with access to the SETTINGS screen.

The Ship From Addresses Page

The SHIP FROM ADDRESSES page within ShippingEasy is the place to add and make changes to any address used as the Ship From address during the shipping process.

Click the Add Address button to add a new Ship From address.

The default Ship From address used for all shipments. The default address can be [overridden per Store, via Shipping Rule(s), per User, or manually].

Viewable Ship From address information for each of your saved addresses.

View Ship From address details, edit, or delete an address by hovering over and clicking on the address.

Information available when viewing a Ship From address:

  • All saved address and contact information

  • A map view of the address

  • Stores using this Ship From address

  • Rules using this Ship From address

  • Users using this Ship From address

Add a Ship From Address

  1. Go to the SHIP FROM ADDRESSES page.

  2. Click the Add Address button.

    Click the Add Address button.
  3. Complete the fields on the "Add Address" modal. The below image shows the required fields.

    PO Boxes & Scheduled Pickups

    You can use a PO Box as your Ship From address when shipping via USPS. Keep in mind, PO Box addresses cannot be used for scheduling pickups. [Learn more about USPS Package pickup].

  4. Check [the Default Address box] if you wish for this address to be used, by default, for all shipments.

  5. Click the Save button to save the address.

    Click the Save button.

Your address was not able to be verified by the USPS.

We've made it easy for you to save addresses for the occasional situation where the Ship From address does not pass the USPS address validation.

Check the Skip USPS address verification box. Then, save your address.

Edit a Ship From Address

  1. Go to the SHIP FROM ADDRESSES page.

  2. Hover over and click on the address that you wish to edit.

    Hover over and click the address to edit.
  3. Click the Edit Address button.

    Click on the Edit Address button.
  4. Edit the fields that need to be modified. Then, click the Save Address button to save your changes.

    Modify the address. Then click the Save Address button.

Your address was not able to be verified by the USPS.

Delete a Ship From Address

Store Settings, Rules, and Users

Ship From addresses that are used in Store Settings, Shipping Rules, or for specific Users cannot be deleted.

First, remove the address from any Store Settings, Rules, or Users. Then, delete the Ship From address.

  1. Go to the SHIP FROM ADDRESSES page.

  2. Hover over and click on the address that you wish to delete.

    Hover over and click the address to edit.
  3. Click the Delete Address link.

    Click the Delete Address link.
  4. Confirm that you do, in fact, wish to delete the Ship From address by clicking on the Delete button.

    Click the Delete button to confirm the deletion.

Assign Ship From Addresses to Packing Slips

The Ship From address used to populate Packing Slips is assigned at the store level. Each store integration can be configured to use a separate Ship From address allowing you to brand each store independently.

For example: When multiple platforms are connected to ShippingEasy (such as Amazon, eBay, and BigCommerce) each store can be assigned its' own, unique Ship From address. When packing slips are printed, the correct Ship From address will be automatically applied and printed for each store.

Here is how to verify that the correct Ship From address is assigned to each store integration:

Manual Orders

If you create and ship Manual Orders, be sure to verify that the correct Ship From address is assigned to your Manual Store (included with all ShippingEasy accounts).

  1. Click the Shipping Address drop-down menu and select the correct Ship From address for the store you are editing.

  2. Repeat the above 3 steps for each store integration.
