I would like to be able to pause or suspend the synchronization process until the day's shipments are completed to avoid new orders arriving in the midst of processing shipping.
Although store synchronization happens hourly, there are many instances when processing hundreds of orders to ship can take longer than that window. Once a pick list has been pulled if new orders appear and are shipped the numbers are off for both inventory tracking and warehouse personnel.
Alternatively, another solution could be to actually be able to set times for store synchronization, sort of like a programmable thermostat!
We would pause or halt synching from 6am - 10am, allowing time to process the current orders, and resume hourly synching from 10am through 6am
