Allow editing "ship from" postal code from Ready to Ship page

Right now, there is only a bit of text that reads as follows:

Ship From Postal Code: #####

NOTE: 'Ship From Postal Code' can be managed in the settings for your store(s).

 

Currently, when I generate return labels or other shipments that must be delivered to my store, I must:

  1. find this in the settings (always takes me longer than it should)

  2. edit it globally

  3. go back to ready to ship screen and realize that IT HASN'T BEEN CHANGED, and I'll need to cancel the shipment so it goes back to the orders screen, then create the shipment again

  4. remember to go back to the settings to change the ship from postal code back to the standard one so they are correct for the next set of shipments

 

It would be SOOO much easier to allow it to be edited on a one-off basis from the Ready to Ship screen.

In fact, why can't the full ship from address be edited on the Ready to Ship screen? This would be even better.

Hi Gregg - I'm so sorry to see that this aspect of ShippingEasy is causing you so much frustration.  I have a few questions for you to better understand your process and how you're arriving at this point.  Feel free to respond in the comments or send your answers to support@shippingeasy.com.

  • Are you creating return labels via the SHIPMENT HISTORY page, using the return label tool? More about this here.
  • Or, are you creating a return label for a shipment that was not originally processed via ShippingEasy, so you are creating a manual order instead? More about this here.
  • Is your Ship From Postal Code different than your default Shipping Address? Note: if these are the same, there is no need to set enter anything into the "Ship From Postal Code" field.   More about this here.

I agree! Since the USPS has changed the 1st class shipping based on zone, we need to quickly be able to switch zip codes if we have a partner sending an item from their location, but from our shop.
