Great news!

We now have a new shipping rule for specifying a product category as a condition. This is helpful for customers who have a large number of products and don’t want to specify a shipping rule for each product - you can now, instead, create a single shipping rule that will apply to all products that are assigned to a specific product category. Please note, you will need to set up those categories first. (specific article soon to come to explain how to do this). To do this, you would follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Products page
  2. Click the More button > Categorize > Manage Categories
  3. Add new
  4. Add Product Category
  5. To use the rule you will create soon, you will need to assign products to a category - to do this, you will proceed back to the Products page, find the product you want to assign to a category, and click the arrow to the far right of that order. From this drop down, click "Edit Product". You will be brought to an editable page where you can choose the category from the drop down at the bottom of the page. (NOTE: You will not need to do this for each order if, while you are adding them in, you make sure they are categorized properly. The process listed is for editing categories as well as assigning categories after you have already created the product). Then, click "Save Product".
  6. Proceed to the Rules settings and proceed to set up the rule you prefer to the Product Category. This will apply the rule to any products you have just assigned to that category.

We hope this helps! Please keep those awesome requests coming!
