Exporting line items on custom reports

Currently on custom reports if I export an order that a customer purchased 3 of ABC product and 2 of DEF product it simply tells me that ABC and DEF product were purchased and that there were 5 products. Is there a way you can add coding to the custom reports so that it would show (preferably on 2 separate lines) that 3 of ABC and 2 of DEF were purchased?

It sounds like you want the capability to report based on each product within an order. Is this correct?

We do our billing from reports that we generate within our shipping platform (so our billing dept knows how much shipping to allow for each item). So we need a report that will generate that tells us that John Doe ordered 5 of AM125424 and 2 of TY22029 instead of how it currently generates on the report that 7 items were ordered and the sku's are AM125424 and TY22029. Then we have to spend the extra time (which is very valuable) to go pull the order up and see how much of which item was ordered. It's hard to explain in writing. I hope that makes sense. Is there a way to attach a document so you can see what I'm talking about?

Thanks for explaining this. I think I understand your request now and have forwarded it to our Product Team. If you wish to add an image, unfortunately it cannot be added via this forum. However, if you have a screenshot, you an use something like tinypic.com and insert the URL.
