Is there any progress on this request? Its easy for one to slip by when it has to be visually identified, shipping time can be fast paced.

We do have a set of shipping rules that may fit your needs. You could set up your rule to be something like:
IF Requested Service is equal to [any UPS shipping option]
AND
IF Destination Type is equal to [PO Box}
THEN
Assign to a category [PO Box]
This would allow you to flag orders that pull in with a requested service of UPS and are a PO Box so that your shipping team could correct them. You could go even further to assign a different saved selection based on the weight or other characteristics to help further automate this rule.

Yes I did that but the only way that help is if the person doing the
shipping sees it from the orders page and that is easy to miss
especially when there are multiple pages of orders. Nothing shows on
the shipping page which is where it really needs to be caught.

I appreciate your clarification and I will update our notes on this request with your feedback. At this time, catergories are only shown on the Orders page, but I can certainly understand the need to have something to notate orders on the Ready to Ship screen as well.

Is there any future in this idea?
There is a Feature request out there from 4 years ago with the same request for Fedex. The idea doesn't always work as shippers don't see the address on the shipping page, so they can easily change the shipping method.
You have so many safeguards in place already (phone number, address not verified, custom weights off) it seems like a no brainer for this safeguard.
