Estimated delivery date / Amazon Deliver By Date -- Shipping rules

0

I see a new support for USPS estimated delivery date.  Amazon also has a deliver by date.

Sure would be helpful if those could be added into the shipping rules. Especially with "less than" and "equal to or less than" logic.

For any expedited or 2-day orders, if we could check if we could use either first class mail, priority mail, or UPS Ground and still get it there on time, it could save a lot of shipping cost. Some pseudo-code examples:

If amazon-expedited and amazon-deliver-by-date < 1st-class-mail-estimated-date { ship 1st class or priority depending on weight }

If amazon-2-day and amazon-deliver-by-date <= UPS-Ground-estimated-date { ship UPS-Ground }

Some rules like that.

Hello,

This is a great idea! We are regularly updating our shipping rules, so I will add this to our list of proposed rule conditions to consider.

If you run into others on the forum who may be interested, feel free to redirect them to post here. I've added this to our list of enhancements to consider but the more requests we see for this feature, the more likely it is to become prioritized. Thanks again!

I would also like to see this, to avoid excess shipping costs from using a faster service than what is needed to meet the expected delivery date.
