Ship Packages Less than 15.9 oz via USPS First Class Mail - Shipping Rules

One of the least expensive shipping methods for USPS is shipping via First-Class Mail. Packages equal to or less than 15.999oz are eligible for this shipping method.

Note

USPS accounts connected to ShippingEasy currently allow a maximum value of 15.99oz. As long as the package weighs less than 15.999oz, the USPS will accept the shipment at 15.99oz as having accurate postage.

If you have the correct weights for your SKUs on your store platform or are using our [Product Catalog] to assign weights to your SKUs (and total order weight), you can easily make this shipping selection automatic.

  1. Go to SETTINGS then go to SHIPPING RULES.

  2. Click the blue Add New Rule button.

  3. In the field Rule Name, enter a name that describes the rule.

    For example, "First Class Mail".

  4. Set the "IF" condition to Order weight then select Is less than and enter in 15.9 in the "oz" field.

  5. Set the "THEN" action to Set shipping preset to the First Class Mail saved preset.

  6. Save your new rule.

Tip

If you have existing orders that you would like to use this rule on, go to the ORDERS page, select all of your orders, and then use the More button and select Rerun Shipping Rules. Be sure to refresh your browser until all orders have passed through the rules and reappear on the ORDERS page.
