Assign Ship From Address Based on Order Number - Shipping Rules

You can automatically assign your "Ship From" address so the label always shows the correct website name. A common condition for this Shipping Rule would assign the Ship From address based on the order number.

Certain platforms, such as Magento, offer the use of multiple stores but route orders through one admin panel. Each store has its own leading digit on the order number and can be separated further by creating a Shipping Rule that ensures the label shows the correct website name.

Follow these steps to configure a Shipping Rule that will automatically assign a specific Ship From address based on an order number:

  1. Go to SETTINGS then go to SHIPPING RULES.

  2. Click the blue Add New Rule button.

  3. In the field Rule Name, enter a name that describes the rule.

    For example, "Assign warehouse".

  4. Set the "IF" condition to Order number and the logic Starts with.  For this example, we use "123".

    • Order number | Starts with | 123

  5. Set the "THEN" action to Set ship from address and select a saved address from the drop-down.

  6. Save your new rule.

Tip

If you have existing orders that you would like to use this rule on, go to the ORDERS page, select all of your orders, and then use the More button and select Rerun Shipping Rules. Refresh your browser until all orders have passed the rules and reappear on the ORDERS page.
