UPS®️ One Balance Integration Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active ShippingEasy account

  • A valid credit card on file for ShippingEasy's One Balance Carriers

  • A phone number listed in the Account Settings to receive rate quotes

International Requirements:

  • Custom Forms/Commercial Invoices must be generated when the label is created and affixed to the package.

Shipment Requirements:

  • UPS requires a Ship From Company Name. If you are not associated with a company, you may enter your name in this field. Read the Assign Ship From Addresses Guide to learn more.

  • UPS uses dimensional weight (DIM) when calculating rates. When creating the label, always include the shipment's dimensions and weight to receive the correct rates. Incorrect weight or dimensions may result in post-shipping adjustments to your postage balance in ShippingEasy.

To connect UPS®️ One Balance in ShippingEasy:

  1. Click Add UPS.

Formatting Address Details

  • Apostrophes cannot be used in the company name.

  • Combined First and Last Name cannot exceed 20 characters.

UPS One Balance Available Services and Carrier Options

A service when you send a letter or parcel, in which the person receiving it must sign a document showing that it has arrived.

Signature Confirmation provides shippers with the recipient's name and the delivery date, time, and location; a copy of the recipient's signature will also be faxed, mailed, or e-mailed to you upon request.

A service ensures that the recipient of the mail items is at least 21 years of age or above. The recipient or a resident of the recipient's address must show a photo identification form to the delivery employee for age confirmation. Learn more about confirmation options.

The carrier integration will deliver a shipment on Saturday for an extra fee.

The declared value of a package represents our maximum liability in connection with the shipment of that package, including, but not limited to, any loss, damage, delay, or misdelivery relating to that shipment.

A carrier can apply a surcharge or fee if the package requires extra effort to process and transport. Overweight and oversized packages are examples.

The carrier integration automatically sends commercial invoices and customs forms electronically.

🇺🇸 UPS® Ground Saver

UPS® Ground Saver is an economy, commercial or residential, ground delivery service available for accounts shipping from the US. It is designed for lightweight, non-time-sensitive packages. UPS® Ground Saver offers a clear savings advantage to help you manage shipping costs and offer your customers a positive delivery experience.

Exclusive to UPS® from ShippingEasy

UPS® Ground Saver is only available for UPS from ShippingEasy. It is not available with your own UPS account.

Accept the new Terms & Conditions for UPS from ShippingEasy to make this service available in your account if it isn't already.

UPS Ground Saver Features

  • Delivers Monday - Sunday

  • No surcharges for residential delivery

  • Door-to-Door tracking

  • Competitive delivery times (estimates appear in ShippingEasy when configuring shipments)

  • UPS® Ground Saver shipments move through the UPS network and will be delivered by UPS or, in some cases, will be handed off to the local Post Office for final delivery by the USPS.

  • Ship to PO Boxes, military addresses, and US territories (since USPS can handle last-mile delivery).

Shipping Requirements

  • Weight: Packages up to 70 lbs actual weight or up to 10lbs dimensional weight

  • Size limitations:

    • Packages must be at least 4" high, 6" long, and 0.75" wide

    • Combined length + girth dimensions cannot exceed 130 inches; no one dimension can exceed 60 inches

  • Domestic Shipments to the 48 contiguous States

Shipping Considerations

  • UPS Ground Saver packages must start their journey in the UPS network. If they are dropped off at a USPS location, the packages will not be scanned and they may be destroyed.

  • UPS® Ground Saver shipments are not eligible for signature confirmation or UPS Guaranteed Service Refunds.

  • Shipments cannot be rerouted.

  • Surcharges may apply.

    • Non-Standard Cube Charge: Any package with L x W x H measuring more than 3456 cubic inches)

    • Non-Standard Length Charge: Any package where the longest side measures more than 22 inches while not exceeding 30 inches

    • Non-Standard Extra Length Charge: Any package where the longest side measures more than 30 inches while not exceeding 48 inches

  • Shipments covered up to $100 declared value. However, this coverage only applies to the shipment as long as it is in UPS custody. If UPS hands the shipment to USPS for last-mile delivery, the coverage no longer applies.

    UPS will inspect the package prior to USPS handoff. If damaged, they will not hand it off, but will instead return to the sender.

ParcelGuard Insurance Recommended!

ShippingEasy allows you to add shipment insurance with ParcelGuard if you need to insure packages beyond the default coverage or ensure the package is covered no matter which carrier delivers it. Additionally, you can initiate the claims process directly in ShippingEasy.

UPS reserves the right to update service details and restrictions at any time.

UPS Declared Value

UPS One Balance from ShippingEasy does not support declared values of more than $100. If you want additional coverage for UPS One Balance shipments, you can do so with Shipsurance.

Saturday Delivery

Enable this option for guaranteed package delivery on a Saturday. You must select this option to guarantee Saturday delivery. If this option is not selected, the package will not be eligible for a UPS Guaranteed Service refund, even if the estimated delivery date shows an estimated delivery on a Saturday.

Customs Forms with UPS Paperless Invoicing

  • UPS Paperless Invoicing is a free service automatically enabled for UPS One Balance accounts. This eliminates the need for paper invoices by electronically transferring your international shipping information to UPS, thereby expediting the clearance process for Customs officials.

  • International labels will have "EDI" on the label in lieu of printing customs forms.

  • UPS Paperless Invoicing also provides an electronic Certificate of Origin for shipments to and from the United States and Canada. The Certificate can help you get preferential duty treatment.

  • When shipping First Class International Mail to any destination,  or Priority Mail International to Military Mail and U.S. Territories, the total value of the shipment cannot be more than $400. The value would need to be adjusted or, depending on the package details, the order could be split.

UPS Paperless Invoice Labels Must Be Shipped Within 14 Days

UPS requires international packages that use paperless invoicing (EDI) be shipped within 14 days of creating the label. This ensures the shipment details are still in their system during the parcel’s transit to its destination. If a package has not been shipped within 14 days of label creation, UPS recommends voiding the label and creating a new one to decrease the chances of holds at customs.

Disconnect a Carrier

To disconnect a UPS account from ShippingEasy, follow these steps:

  1. Click Manage Account under the UPS account.

The UPS account will no longer appear on the Carrier Funds page of your ShippingEasy account.
