Special Considerations for FedEx

FedEx Rate and Billing Information

  • Once you create a shipment, you are billed by FedEx directly based on the rates you negotiated with FedEx.

  • When a package is delivered, the mail carrier will determine the final cost, including any surcharges. If you are being charged a different amount in FedEx from what is shown in ShippingEasy, it is possible that there are additional surcharges for your shipment. Learn more about FedEx surcharges.

  • The rates you receive for FedEx are only quotes. FedEx reserves the right to add additional fees to a shipment after it has been delivered.

Additional Carrier Forms

  • ShippingEasy automatically assigns the correct customs form to eligible shipments with all of the required information included as it is pulled from the store. We also allow you to print Commercial Invoices from the SHIPMENT HISTORY page.

  • FedEx allows the user to process Electronic Trade Documents (ETDs), however, not all destinations accept these electronic submissions. FedEx keeps a list of all destinations that accept ETDs.

  • The origin ID is an internal designation for the account set by FedEx to determine route information. For further information, please contact FedEx.
