PayPal

Paypal is a payment processor that integrates directly with ShippingEasy.  You can use PayPal to process payments or invoices from stores or websites not directly supported by ShippingEasy and bring those transactions in as orders.

ShippingEasy will read the transactions from your Paypal account and then load them into the ORDERS page.

PayPal Integration Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • You must have a live account with PayPal.

Order Requirements:

  • Only Transactions (Payments Received) and Invoices are brought into ShippingEasy. Transactions come from outside sources (such as stores like Shopify) into PayPal, and Invoices are generated from PayPal.

PayPal Integration Notes

Order Information:

  • Foreign currencies: PayPal transactions in any currency other than US dollars will not be brought into ShippingEasy.

  • SKUs: For Payments received if the PayPal payment transaction includes an Item Number, it will be displayed as the SKU in ShippingEasy. Since PayPal's Invoices do not include product SKUs, ShippingEasy cannot display SKUs for PayPal Invoices.

  • Incorrect Time: While PayPal does display an exact time in its user interface, it does not make that time available to ShippingEasy when we download information about an invoice. So we have to assume that all invoices were entered at midnight on the date provided by PayPal.

  • Order Reference Number: PayPal assigns two reference numbers to orders: invoice numbers (invoice) and invoice ID (transaction). ShippingEasy will display the invoice number.

  • Order Updates:If an order has been updated after synced in ShippingEasy, only some changes will be updated. For a list of what changes will update, see our article Edit Orders in Store - Changes that Update to ShippingEasy | FAQs.
