Find Harmonized Code for Products | How To

While it is not required, using Harmonized Codes for your international shipments will help your packages move through customs more quickly. If you don’t know your item’s Harmonized Code, ShippingEasy provides an easy lookup tool. Access it from the following pages:

Lookup Harmonized Code for All Products

A great option is to apply a single harmonized code to all your products. Learn more about configuring your INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS settings.

  1. Click the Look Up field link next to Harmonized Code.

  2. Type in a search term that describes your overall product selection and click on the Search button.

  3. Click the blue number in the far left column when you find the category that best describes your product. This will automatically enter the code into the Harmonized code field.

  4. Then Save your INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT settings.

Important

ShippingEasy only accepts the first 6 digits of a harmonized code. If you enter more than 6 digits, you will receive an error message when buying the label.

Lookup Harmonized Code for a Specific Shipment

Edit harmonized codes on a per shipment basis.  Learn more about the Customs Information section of the READY TO SHIP page.

  1. Select the International shipment that you are ready to process.

  2. Scroll down to the Customs Information section and locate the line item that needs an updated Harmonized code.

  3. Click the item name, or select the item box and click on Edit.

  4. Click the Look Up field next to Harmonized code.

  5. Type in a search term that describes your overall product selection and click on the Search button.
