Set up Low Stock Alerts | How To

Available to Existing Inventory Management Subscribers

This feature is only available to existing Inventory Management subscribers. Non-Inventory Management subscribers can learn more about using the ShippingEasy Product Catalog.

We are not currently opening Inventory Management to new users or developing new features or functionality for our Inventory solution. This means that at this time we cannot address the issues you have with the current system.

If you need an inventory solution that lets you add your third-party fulfillment provider to your account, our sister company ShipStation may be a better solution for you.

ShippingEasy makes it easy to set up automatic alerts that let you know when your stock is getting low. This guide shows you how to set the threshold at which ShippingEasy notifies you that your stock is getting low, making overselling a thing of the past!

Once a Low Stock Threshold has been set for your products, you will automatically receive notifications at the bottom left corner of your ShippingEasy account when product stock falls below the threshold.

Video: Low Stock Thresholds

If you prefer, feel free to watch this short video that covers the information in the below sections and follow along in your ShippingEasy account.

How are Low Stock Thresholds applied?

Low Stock Thresholds will be applied in one of three ways:

  1. Universal Low Stock Threshold: Applies to all products.

  2. Categorical Threshold Settings: Applies to all products in a Product Category.

  3. Individual Threshold Settings: Applies per product; can be configured manually through the Product Catalog or for multiple products in bulk via CSV.

The threshold will be applied in the following order: Universal Low Stock Threshold --> Categorical Threshold Settings --> Individual Threshold Settings

Set a Universal Low Stock Threshold

If you set a Low Stock Threshold in your INVENTORY SETTINGS and there are no other threshold settings, this threshold will be applied universally to all of your products.
