Obtain Proof of USPS Postage Refund | How To

When you cancel a label in ShippingEasy that was generated through USPS from ShippingEasy One Balance, a refund is automatically requested. However, it can take 14 to 24 days to process the refund. Once approved, your refund(s) will be automatically deposited into your postage balance.

USPS requires 10 business days to process the postage refund on their end, as they need to ensure that the tracking number for the cancelled label doesn't subsequently show up in the mail stream.

Depending on how closely you would like to manage your refunds, there are a few options:

View a Summary of Label Refunds Credited

  1. Click on online reports to log into Stamps.com.

  2. Select Balances from the left-side navigation bar.

  3. Change the Report Type to Summary.

  4. the Date range of your transactions. All credits and expenses issued to your account will display within the time frame you select.

    The date option is expanded displaying the available date options. All is selected.
  5. Locate the "Funds Credited" column to view the amount of postage that has been credited to your account in a given time frame.

    The stamps.com balances screen is shown with the Funds Credited. In this case, a total refund of four dollars and sixty-eight cents was refunded for the selected timeframe.

View the Status of Requested Refunds

  1. Click on payment method to open up Stamps.com.

  2. Go to Store Orders > Order History:

  3. Click on Continue Printing.

  4. Hover above History then click on Search Print History.

  5. Click on Status. Then click Refund Pending.

  6. Locate the shipment for which you requested a refund. The following info is displayed:

    • Refund Type

    • Refund Request Date

    • Refund Status

    • Refund Requested

Confirm that a Specific Label Has Been Refunded

  1. Hover above History then click on Search Print History.

  2. Click on the dropdown to open the advanced search.

  3. Enter the following information, then click the Search button.

    • Date: Select Date Printed.

    • Date Range: Select the date range for which the label was printed.

    • Tracking #: Enter the tracking number for the shipment.

  4. Locate the shipment for which you requested a refund. The following info is displayed:

    • Refund Type

    • Refund Request Date

    • Refund Status

    • Refund Requested
