ConnectEasy Setup for Multiple Users & Workstations

If you have added multiple users to your ShippingEasy account, ConnectEasy provides the option to assign specific printers and scales for each user. This allows you to take advantage of individual workstations or remote warehouses. It is an operations dream come true!

Integrating Hardware at Multiple Workstations

  1. Log in as the specific user at the specific workstation whose settings need to be customized.

  2. Install ConnectEasy at the workstation.

  3. Configure your printer and scale preferences. Follow our printer and scale set up guides for the user:

Computers That Need ConnectEasy Installed

To relay print jobs to a printer, ConnectEasy must be installed and running on a computer connected to the printer receiving the print jobs. Which computer needs to have ConnectEasy installed will depend on your computer, printer, and network configuration.

  • One computer physically connected to one or more printers: If you only ship from one computer and this computer is physically connected via USB to any printer you might print to, then ConnectEasy will need to be installed on this one computer.

  • Multiple computers, off-network, where only one is connected to a printer: If you use multiple computers that are not networked, then only the computer connected to the printer will need to have ConnectEasy installed. ShippingEasy can send print jobs from any computer to the printer.

  • Multiple computers on a network, where only one computer is connected to a printer: If you use multiple computers that are networked to each other, either physically or wirelessly, then only the computer connected to the printer will need to have ConnectEasy installed. ShippingEasy can send print jobs from any computer to the printer.

  • Multiple computers on a network where no computers are connected to a printer: If you use multiple computers and a printer that are all networked to each other, either physically or wirelessly, then only one computer will need to have ConnectEasy installed. ShippingEasy can send print jobs from any computer to the printer.

  • Multiple computers physically connected to the same printer: If you use multiple computers that are all physically connected via USB to the same printer, then only one of the computers needs to have ConnectEasy installed.
