Squarespace

Squarespace directly integrates with ShippingEasy. Squarespace is a platform for selling your products which makes it easy to receive orders and ship them to your customers. ShippingEasy will automatically send queries to read the orders from your Squarespace account and then load them into our application. Once shipped, shipment data will be sent back to your Squarespace store.

  • Orders placed in the last 14 days will appear on the ORDERS page in ShippingEasy.

Connect a Squarespace Store to ShippingEasy

How to connect your Squarespace account to an existing ShippingEasy account

  1. Select Squarespace from the Platform drop-down menu.

  2. Find your API Key within your Squarespace account.

  3. Open another browser window and log in to your Squarespace account.

  4. Click Settings in the lower-left corner of your account in Squarespace.

  5. Under the WEBSITE section, click Advanced.

  6. Click Developer API Keys under ADVANCED.

  7. Click the Generate Key button.

  8. Type "ShippingEasy" within the App Name field. Under API KEY SCOPE, check Orders.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Copy the API Key.

  11. Go back to ShippingEasy. On the NEW STORE page, paste it into the API Keyfield.

Supported Order Statuses

Squarespace order statuses map to ShippingEasy in the following way:

Awaiting Fulfillment

Only Squarespace orders with the status PENDING that contain a "physical" product can sync with ShippingEasy.

The statuses Shipped, Cancelled, and Not Completed will not sync into ShippingEasy.

Squarespace Integration Notes

Editing Orders and Shipments

  • If you cancel an order in Squarespace, the order will be removed from your ShippingEasy account the next time we sync with your store.

  • If you change the recipient address for an order in Squarespace, that change will update in ShippingEasy during each automatic sync once per hour or via a manual sync, using the Sync button in the ORDERS page. Learn more about manually syncing here.Orders will NOT update if:

    • The order is moved from the ORDERS page and later returned. Orders must remain on the ORDERS page to receive updates via the API during an automatic sync.

    • If you manually adjust an order in ShippingEasy (add a line item, remove a line item, edit address), we consider ShippingEasy to be the main source of information and will not check for updates within Squarespace on future store syncs.

  • The Order Number is the original order number created by Squarespace.

Combining and Splitting Orders

  • When two orders are combined in ShippingEasy, there is a surviving and non-surviving order number in Squarespace. When the combined order is shipped:

    • The non-surviving order number will update in Squarespace.

    • The surviving order number will not update in Squarespace.

Email Notifications

  • Squarespace automatically sends shipment confirmation emails to your customer once their order has been shipped.
