Rithum (formerly known as ChannelAdvisor)

Rithum (formerly known as ChannelAdvisor) integrates directly with ShippingEasy.  A leading platform for managing your product inventory levels across multiple marketplaces and shopping carts, Rithum acts as an intermediary between your selling channels and ShippingEasy. This means that when you integrate Rithum into ShippingEasy you will be able to access all of the orders that have been placed on your individual sales platforms. There is no need to integrate your stores directly with ShippingEasy as they will already be synced into Rithum.

If your online store is already integrated with ShippingEasy there is no need for you to have both Rithum and ShippingEasy connected to that platform. Rithum is the "hub" between your shipping solution and your online stores. You can disconnect ShippingEasy from your store platform once you have connected your ShippingEasy account to Rithum.

Having both your online store platform and Rithum connected to ShippingEasy will cause duplicate orders in ShippingEasy.

How Rithum works with ShippingEasy:

  1. An order is entered into your online store.

  2. After the order is placed, the order information is passed from your online store to Rithum.

  3. The order information is then passed from Rithum to ShippingEasy so that it can be shipped.

  4. After the order has been processed in ShippingEasy, the shipping and tracking information is passed back to Rithum.

  5. Finally, Rithum will notify your online store and update it with the shipping and tracking information for the order. The information passed back to the integrated store platform will vary based on the platform.

What are the advantages of using Rithum Starter Edition?

  • Prevents overselling inventory by synchronizing current inventory levels across the supported selling channels.

  • Helps ensure consistency of product price, title, description, and images across multiple selling channels.

Rithum Integration Notes

Order Updates

  • Error updating shipped orders: If you purchase a label using a shipping carrier and service that hasn't been added to your Rithum account, then you will receive an error when ShippingEasy attempts to update your Rithum account.

To resolve the issue and allow your order to update successfully:

    1. Add the appropriate shipping carrier and class in Rithum.

    2. Once you have added your shipping carrier and class to Rithum, go back to your SHIPMENT HISTORY and retry the update. Learn more about troubleshooting Orders Not Updating to Store as Shipped as well as how to Update a Store with Shipment Tracking.

  • The "Mark as Shipped" option in ShippingEasy will not update the order to Shipped in Rithum. We recommend marking the order as Shipped in Rithum. This will clear the order from ShippingEasy.

  • ShippingEasy cannot import products that have SKUs but do not have item names. Both the SKU and name fields must be complete in Rithum.

Ship By Date

The Ship By Date column on the ShippingEasy ORDERS page indicates the latest date you should ship an order to ensure your package arrives at your buyer within the estimated delivery window. This column helps prioritize how and in what order you fulfill your unshipped orders.

Box highlights Ship By Date in the Order Column

Note

This column is intended for the following stores: eBay, Amazon, and Rithum (fka ChannelAdvisor) orders that originated on Amazon. The field will not be populated if you select the Ship By Date on any other store.
