Currently: The total number of items in stock is what gets uploaded to all sales channels. (If you have 100 available in shipping easy, you have 100 available on eBay) I would like to be able to specify or set rule for how many items would appear on eBay.
Problems:
1. No scarcity. (It's proven that customers are more likely to make a purchase if the item seems it is low stock or almost out)
2. Some sales channels have selling limits. (Ebay for example. Hypothetically, let's say your selling limit is $10,000 and one part number you have is actually $1,000 /piece on eBay. You would only be able to upload 10 of these items on ebay and you wouldn't be able to add any other items unless you contacted eBay to increase selling limit.)
Solution:
Create inventory upload rule that can be modified by user. (Bold area below would be options for user)
"If current inventory in shipping easy is > X, then send X to sales channels"
"If current inventory in shipping easy is < X, then send actual inventory to sales channels"
If you would not like the above rules to be active, check box to report actual inventory at all times.
Live example:
Part number "123" has 50pcs in stock. I want it to only appear that I have 9 items in stock on eBay so I would enter the following.
"If current inventory in shipping easy is > 9, then send 9 to sales channels"
"If current inventory in shipping easy is < 9, then send actual inventory to sales channels"
Hi Nick,
Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like you would like to be able to control the amount of available stock that is sent back to your store/s. In the above example you reference an eBay store, but are there other stores that you'd also want to control the amount of available inventory that is listed?
For example if you had an eBay store *and* an Amazon store would you want to send the same available stock values to both? Or, would you need to be able to set up each of these rules for each product and each store platform integrated in ShippingEasy?
