Create a return label with choices for method

0

If we ship Smartpost, create a return label isn't an option.

We should be able to select any order, and create a return label, choosing the method if need be (make the return label Fedex Ground or USPS)

Steve,

Great idea! Right now we do not have Smartpost enabled for return services but are interested to hear which of our shippers would like to see it. Your additional request for an option when creating a return label is excellent and has been forwarded.

I don't think Smartpost will ever be a choice for return labels (the customer would not understand to give it to the fedex guy), so instead allow an order which was shipped to the customer using Smartpost to be returned via USPS or Fedex ground?

Another example where this is helpful is if I ship a customer 24 bottles of lotion, and they want to return 1. I would have shipped it via fedex, but it would be much less expensive to send the return via postal 1st class.

Our business uses smartpost labels as a big part of our shipping service to ship out to our customers. However, we are having difficulties printing out return labels for our customers through smartpost. The system will not allow us to print any return labels even from different carriers.

The only way we are able to send out a label to our customer, is to print a duplicate label but switch it from smartpost to a different service. Then cancel the duplicate and print a return label from the duplicate to our customers. It is really hard and confusing to do that.

I have researched that and found that FedEx allows return labels. Also, there are some companies similar to shippingeasy that allows the return label printing through smart post. However, i like to stay with shippingeasy because of its easiness and simplicity but Smartpost return labels are a big part of our business.

It would be much easier to print out smart post return labels directly as any other label or at least choose a different carrier for returns if smart post return services is not enabled.

Just in case the engineers are interested at all, this is still a major pain in the ___.

Hello Steve,

We greatly appreciate your feedback and are looking into options that may be able to help ease this concern, but as we are nearing the holidays, we will not be able to introduce a fix for this specific feature.

One feature that we recently introduced to assist customers in generating return orders if they didn't have a label they could create a pre-paid return label from the shipments history may be able to help with this workflow in the meantime. You can now generate a return label without having to add in an order, you can read more about this HERE.  This may be able to help generate a return label that can be emailed to your customers without having to generate a manual order or change the ship from address.

We greatly appreciate your feedback and are continuing to look into options. We will updates or questions to this thread as there is new developments.
