Postage

Answered

I have a balance of $16.84 in my account after adding $10.00 a couple of hours ago. When I TRY to pay and print postage, it shows a ZERO balance and tells me to add postage. HOW do I get past this problem as I NEED to print this shipping label??

Hello Liz, and thank you for posting to our community!

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with your postage funds.

Your ShippingEasy account includes two free Endicia accounts, one to fund your First Class Domestic postage, and one to fund your First Class International and Expedited (Priority) postage.

If you are attempting to purchase an international or Priority Mail label, the postage will be drawn from the Expedited Endicia account, which will also need funds added, using the steps in the link below.

How to: Add more postage to my Endicia carrier accounts

I hope that information helps.

Thank you and happy shipping!

Is there a way to transfer the money from one account to the other because it seems a bit silly to not be able to do that.

Hi Liz,

If you happen to add too much postage to one of the accounts, unfortunately the amount cannot be transferred. If you will eventually use the postage, we recommend you leave the account as is. If you do not plan to use the postage then you can close the corresponding Endicia account for a refund.  More about this process can be found in the article linked below:

How to: Refund an Endicia postage balance if I added too much

Please keep in mind, however, that this month we are switching to a single Endicia account model, where all your funds will be drawn from the same account. You can read more about the switch in the next link below.

FAQs: Migrating to a single Endicia account

Thanks again.

So this means that after this month is over and there is the single account model, my $16.84 balance can be accessed for First Class or Priority Mail? That will work MUCH better for me.

Hi again Liz,

While the single account model will be much more easy to manage, unfortunately the conversion will close your First Class account.

Any balance left in you First Class Endicia account will be refunded back to you. The method of refund depends on how recently you purchased postage and how you paid for that postage.

Learn how to confirm or update your payment details on file with Endicia.

If your last postage purchase was less than 3 months ago:

Credit card: The remaining Postage Balance will be refunded back to the credit card last used to purchase postage.

ACH/Debit: Postage Balance refunds for postage purchased using direct debit from a checking account will be mailed as a check. It is important to verify that the Mailing address on the account is correct prior to closing the account to avoid delays. The check will be issued to the contact name on the account.

If you haven’t purchased postage within 3 months from the Endicia First Class Domestic account, the balance refund may be mailed to you in the form of a check. It is important to verify that the Mailing address on the account is correct prior to closing the account to avoid delays. The check will be issued to the contact name on the account.

I hope that helps to clarify things.

Thank you.
