Import Products from Stores

To streamline setting up your Product Catalog in ShippingEasy, you can import product information directly from your store. This is a great way to update your Product Catalog quickly with all Product SKUs and Variants that you sell. Importing also saves Product weights, images, and information from your stores.

Importing products are supported for all ShippingEasy accounts that have the specific, supported store platforms connected.

Benefits of Importing Products

When you choose to Import Products from your store, ShippingEasy can take care of the following:

  • Add any SKUs, not already saved, to your ShippingEasy PRODUCT CATALOG page.

  • For Product Variants, create the parent Product and any corresponding variations.

  • Link Product SKUs between ShippingEasy's Products Catalog and your store listings.

Supported Store Platforms

Products can only be imported from specific store platforms. Importing products functions a little differently for each store.

  • Amazon*

  • BigCommerce

  • eBay*

  • Magento 2.1

  • Reverb

  • Shopify

  • Volusion*

  • Wish*

  • WooCommerce (REST Integration only)*

*see the section Notes about Importing Products for details specific to products importing from these stores.

If you sell on a different platform, you can manually import your Products to ShippingEasy. To do so you will need to upload those Products to ShippingEasy. Follow the steps below to learn how to import products into ShippingEasy.

    Note

If you would like to import your FBA Available stock, this must be enabled in the store settings first. Learn how to import FBA stock levels.

  3. Choose the store(s) from which ShippingEasy will import products.

    1. To import products from all stores: check the box in the header.

    2. To import products from specific stores: check only the boxes next to the stores you would like to import. You may choose to import from multiple stores if you have different SKUs on each store.

    Note

Stores that are connected but do not support importing products will appear greyed out. Stores that support importing products but are disconnected will display Disconnected in red.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Determine the sequence of stores that your products will import from. ShippingEasy saves each SKU the first time it encounters it. That way, if you have duplicate SKUs across multiple stores, ShippingEasy will only import it once. So the stores containing the most accurate product information should be first in the sequence.

Choose the sequence by dragging and dropping the stores into the order you want.

    Note

While the product import is running, you will not be able to access your product catalog or other product pages in ShippingEasy, but the rest of your account is accessible so you can continue to ship while the import runs.

You can opt to override existing stock levels within ShippingEasy with the importing stores stock levels by clicking the link "Enable Stock Override".  Learn more about stock override.

  6. Click Start Import, after you sequence your stores,.

The PRODUCT CATALOG will be inactive during the product import. The Product Settings tab within STORES & ORDERS will also be restricted until the import is complete.

Tip

You can access the rest of your account and navigate away from the PRODUCT CATALOG while products are importing.

You will receive an email as soon as the product import completes. The product information for all of your Product SKUs and Variants that are eligible for import will have been added to your product catalog in ShippingEasy.

Notes about Importing Products

Amazon:

If you have Products that are marked as Fulfilled by Amazon, ShippingEasy will import these products. This feature is automatically enabled so that on the next sync with your Amazon store, it will bring in the FBA stock level information. If you would like to disable this setting, you can do so in the STORES & ORDERS settings.

ShippingEasy will not import any Products that are marked as Inactive (out of stock). Only Products that are active will be imported. If a listing or Product is later changed from Inactive (out of stock) to Active, then ShippingEasy will pull it in on the next Products import.

eBay:

ShippingEasy will not import any Products that are on listings that have ended. Only Products that are active will be imported. If a listing or Product is later re-listed as Active, then ShippingEasy will pull it in on the next Products import.

ShippingEasy cannot import more than 25,000 products from eBay. If you have more than 25,000 listings, please reach out to ShippingEasy Support to discuss options for adding the remaining products to your ShippingEasy Products catalog.

Volusion:

ShippingEasy will import if you have Products with Variants SKUs.

In order for ShippingEasy to pull in an image for your product, the product needs at least two images in your Volsion store. This is because Volusion's API does not make product images available to ShippingEasy until a product has two images.

WooCommerce:

Only the new direct WooCommerce store integration that does NOT require a WooCommerce ShippingEasy plugin (released in July 2017) supports inventory management for WooCommerce stores.

ShippingEasy will not import all WooCommerce product types. Products with types "Grouped" or "External" will not be imported.  All other product types will be imported IF they have a SKU and their "Manage Stock" setting is checked.  Variations on variable products must also have their own SKU and have their "Manage Stock" setting checked as well.

Wish:

Only products that are active will be imported. If a listing or product is later re-listed as Active, then ShippingEasy will pull it in on the next products import.
