Find Harmonized Code for Products | How To
Use Harmonized Codes, or HS Codes, for your international shipments to help your packages move through customs more quickly. Packages without an HS Code or detailed description of goods may be subject to delays, excess tariff fees, or non-delivery.
New Harmonized Code Requirement for the EU
As of March 1, 2023, all shipments to and passing through most countries in the EU will require HS (Harmonized System) codes included on customs forms along with a more detailed description of the package contents.
This means that descriptions such as "Clothes" will not be accepted. Instead, a more detailed description such as "Men's Cotton Shirt" or "Women's Leather Shoes" will be required.

A great option is to apply a single harmonized code to all your products. Learn more about configuring your INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS settings.

Click the Look Up field link next to Harmonized Code.

Type in a search term that describes your overall product selection and click on the Search button.

Click the blue number in the far left column when you find the category that best describes your product. This will automatically enter the code into the Harmonized code field.

Then Save your INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT settings.
HS Codes Can Only Be 6 Digits
ShippingEasy only accepts the first 6 digits of a harmonized code. If you enter more than 6 digits, you will receive an error message when buying the label.

Select the International shipment that you are ready to process.

Scroll down to the Customs Information section and locate the line item that needs an updated Harmonized code.

Click the item name, or select the item box and click on Edit.

Click the Look Up field next to Harmonized code.

Type in a search term that describes your overall product selection and click on the Search button.

Click the blue number in the far left column when you find the category that best describes your product. This will automatically enter the code into the Harmonized code field.

Then click Save.
