Create a Shipping Margin Report | How To

ShippingEasy REPORTS include a number of preconfigured reports created to accommodate the reporting needs of most shipping operations. Learn more about REPORTS. Among them are the Shipping Margin reports:

  • Shipping Margin (All): lists the shipping margin for all orders, across all destinations, with one or more shipments within the requested time span. The data is broken down by country. It can also be drilled down by order. Learn more about what data is included.

  • Shipping Margin (Domestic): lists the shipping margin for all orders, across only domestic destinations, with one or more shipments within the requested time span. The data is broken down by state and/or city. It can also be drilled down by order or county. Learn more about what data is included.

  • Shipping Margin (International) lists the shipping margin for all orders, across only international destinations (those received from outside the U.S.), with one or more shipments within the requested time span. The data is broken down by country. It can also be drilled down by order. Learn more about what data is included.

Any of these reports can be exported as needed or scheduled to be emailed to you on a recurring basis. With some limitations, the columns cannot be edited or rearranged, and the data cannot be previewed before downloading.

Create a Shipping Margin Report

  1. Select the Store and Report Date Range for which you would like to generate the report.

  2. Select the specific Shipping Margin report you would like to generate.

    • Shipping Margin (All)

    • Shipping Margin (Domestic)

    • Shipping Margin (International)

  3. Based on your selection, click the section below for specific instructions.

Export the Shipping Margin (All) Report

When you select the Shipping Margins (All) option, you will find yourself on the report customization page.

  1. Update or edit the Report Name.

  2. A list of additional report options will display below. Check the metrics you would like to include in your report.

    Note

    The Only Display Totals option is checked by default. This means that only the summed totals by Destination Country will be listed in the report. If you would like each individual order to also be listed in this report then you should uncheck this box.

  3. Now you are ready to download the report. 

Export the Shipping Margin (Domestic) Report

When you select the Shipping Margins (Domestic) option, you will find yourself on the report customization page.

  1. Update or edit the Report Name.

  2. Check the metrics you would like to include in your report from the list of additional report options below.

    Note

    The Only Display Totals option is checked by default. This means that only the summed total of all orders will be listed in the report. If you would like each individual order to also be listed in this report then you should uncheck this box.

  3. Select a single state from the Display Orders by State menu, you will also have an option to Display Totals by County.

  4. Now you are ready to download the report

Export the Shipping Margin (International) Report

When you select the Shipping Margins (International) option, you will find yourself on the report customization page.

  1. Update or edit the Report Name.

  2. Check the metrics you would like to include in your report from the list of additional report options below.

    Note

    The Only Display Totals option is checked by default. This means that only the summed totals by Destination Country will be listed in the report. If you would like each individual order to also be listed in this report then you should uncheck this box.

  3. Now you're ready to download the report

Download the Shipping Margin Report

Once you have customized the report to your liking, you have two options to download the report:

  1. Now

  2. On a recurring schedule.

Make your selection by clicking the blue Export button.

Click Export and select Now or Schedule.

If you select Now, the report is promptly generated on the REPORT EXPORTS page. Please give the system a few minutes to compile the data and then refresh the page to download your report.

Note

To view previously downloaded reports, expand the REPORTS tab and select EXPORTS.
