A Shipping Preset is a saved configuration of service and package types. Once created, presets can be applied to orders automatically via rules or manually using instant rate. If you regularly ship a high volume of similar packages, Shipping Presets can help save time by eliminating multiple steps in your shipment configuration process.

You can add as many Shipping Presets as you need. When you configure a preset, you assign a carrier, carrier service, package, and weight.

Pre-Configured Presets

ShippingEasy accounts also include a set of pre-configured Shipping Presets for USPS domestic and international shipments:

Create Shipping Presets

There are two ways to create shipping presets in Shipping Easy:

In the Order Details Slide Out

We recommend this method if you want to create your presets while shipping and see service pricing while saving presets.
On the SHIPPING PRESETS Settings page

We recommend this method if you already know what presets you'd like to create or if you plan to do most of your shipping from the Orders page.

In the Order Details Slide Out

You can save your shipping presets when you are in the Order Details slide out in the "Shipments" section.

Select the Service and Package for your order using the drop-down.
Check the box next to Save the selected carrier, service, and packaging for future use.

The Save Shipping Preset modal will appear.
Assign a Package Name and preset options.
- If you want this to be your default option, check the box Make Default?
- If you want to assign a keyboard shortcut, select from the available list.
Click Save when done.

On the SHIPPING PRESETS Settings Page

On the SHIPPING PRESETS Settings page, you can add presets anytime. You can also mark presets as favorites and sort them so they appear in your preferred sequence when you select a preset for your orders.

Click SETTINGS from the navigation sidebar.
Click SHIPPING PRESETS under the SHIPMENT SETTINGS section.
Click the New Preset button.
Choose the Domestic or International tab depending on which destination you want to create a new preset option for. Then, choose the carrier you want to ship with.

If you do not see any carriers listed here, you haven't connected a carrier to your ShippingEasy account. You must first connect a carrier account to ShippingEasy before creating a Shipping Preset.
Select the service for your preset.
Select a package from the list, or create a new custom package by clicking Add a New Package.

If you add a new package, name the package and enter the dimensions, override weight, or add to weight if necessary. Then click Save & Continue.
Assign a Keyboard Shortcut for even faster shipping! (optional)
Check the option to Make default domestic preset if this is the preset you will use most often. (optional)

This action is for domestic presets only and will override the Instant Rate package selection on the ORDERS page.
Click Create Preset.

Once you have created a new preset, you can assign it to your favorites by clicking the Star icon next to the name. Any presets you mark as a favorite will appear when using the Buy Label with Instant Rate entries for each order and the Shipping Selection column. You can star up to 10 domestic and 10 international Shipping Presets. Unstarring any entry will remove it from the menus.

You can also arrange the order of your favorites. The order of your favorites on the SHIPPING PRESETS page will be reflected on the ORDERS page and elsewhere in the app.

Apply a Shipping Preset to an Order

Once you have created your Shipping Presets, they will be available on the ORDERS page. This lets you quickly assign shipping configurations to your shipments with a single click.

Delete a Shipping Preset

You can delete a Shipping Preset on the SHIPPING PRESETS page.

Click SETTINGS from the navigation sidebar.
Click SHIPPING PRESETS under the SHIPMENT SETTINGS section.
Click on the X button located to the right of the preset you wish to delete.

Shipping Rules

You cannot delete a Shipping Preset used in a shipping rule. The shipping rule must be modified to remove the preset before you can delete it.
Click OK in the confirmation pop-up screen if you are sure you wish to delete this preset.
