FedEx announces rate changes January 7, 2019

Shipping carriers routinely update their products, adding or removing features and services, as well as adjusting their rates. These rate changes usually occur at the start of the year. For 2019, all major carriers announced rate and service changes.

Increase in surcharges and fees

There will be an increase in shipping surcharges and fees including for address collection, handling surcharges and printing return labels, which could increase your overall shipping cost. View the full list of surcharge and fee changes.

FedEx Ground and FedEx Express rates will increase an average of 4.9%.

This includes U.S. domestic, U.S. export and U.S. import services. Minimum rates for FedEx Express services will see an increase along with FedEx Retail Rates.
