Sending Inventory Updates to Walmart | Troubleshoot

This feature is available to existing Inventory Management subscribers. Learn more about using the ShippingEasy Product Catalog.

If your Walmart products are not updating correctly into ShippingEasy, there are a few possible causes.

Are you listed as a Seller or a Supplier in Walmart?

Currently, ShippingEasy only supports seller accounts. We do not support Supplier accounts in Walmart.

Does your product SKU include punctuation?

ShippingEasy can only update Walmart Product SKU's that do not include a slash "/" in the SKU.

While Walmart's user interface does support Product SKUs with slashes "/", their API (that facilitates the transmission of SKU's to ShippingEasy) does not, which leads to this limitation.

Have you set up multiple listings for the same product in your store?

If you have multiple listings for the same product, on the same store, then each listing must be assigned a unique Product SKU. This is because ShippingEasy will only update one product listing per Product SKU.

After all Walmart listings have unique SKUs:

Of course, you'll need a way to tell ShippingEasy which of your SKUs are for the same item in your inventory. SKU Aliases can solve this problem. Within ShippingEasy, the SKUs can be merged to create a master SKU with assigned SKU Aliases. This will enable ShippingEasy to update all the SKUs in Shopify when the stock level for the master SKU changes.

Have you updated your store using the newest integration method?

In May 2019, Walmart required a new method of integration using a Client ID and Client Secret. All existing Walmart users are required to reintegrate their store using this method by July 2019. Learn how to integrate your store using this method.
