ShippingEasy uses 'stock history' to determine if the true stock level for a product is known. This safeguards that ShippingEasy has the correct stock levels of your products before sending stock updates to your stores.
What does No Stock History mean?
No Stock History identifies a product that has never had a stock change in ShippingEasy. A stock change can be made by you or imported from your store. This stock change indicates to ShippingEasy that the product SKU has an accurate stock level.
How does No Stock History affect updates to my store?
A product that has No Stock History will not be included in stock updates to your stores. This is because the true stock level of the product is uncertain until a stock value has been entered. As soon as ShippingEasy sees stock history, the product becomes eligible for stock updates.
How do I know if any of my products have no stock history?
We've made it easy to identify your products with no stock history.
Within PRODUCT details pages:
You'll see a yellow indicator No Stock History, next to the Total Available stock.
Within "Bundled Products" details:
You'll see the bundled products with No Stock History highlighted with the same yellow color.
Within exported Product Catalog files:
When you export your product data from ShippingEasy, you'll see a blank cell for any products with no stock history. Learn how to export your product data here.
Which stock changes affect stock history?
Any product with the No Stock History indicator, or that displays blank "Stock" data in the product export, will not be eligible for store updates. This remains the case even if you have store updates enabled. If you have enabled stock updates to your store and would like for these products to be included in the update, make a valid stock change.
