What time frames are supported for asking about orders and shipments?

The ShippingEasy skill can provide order and shipment information for a specific time frame.

The ShippingEasy skill supports the following time frames:
  • today
  • yesterday
  • this week
  • last week
  • this month
  • last month
  • this quarter
  • last quarter
For example:
To find out how many orders you have received in a given time frame, you can say:
  • How many orders did I receive {last week}?
To find out how many shipments you've made in a given time frame, you can say:
  • How many shipments did I ship {today}?
  • How many orders did I ship {yesterday}?

Which of my orders can I review and purchase labels for?

The ShippingEasy skill for Alexa will provide information about all orders when it comes to asking:

  • how many orders you have
  • how many orders you've received within a given time frame
  • how many orders you've shipped within a given time frame

The ShippingEasy skill will only allow users to review and ship unfulfilled orders that have a rate quote.

A rate quote requires that a shipping method (carrier and service), packaging and weight are applied to an order. There are two ways to achieve getting an automatic rate quote applied to an order as it comes into ShippingEasy:

  1. Create Shipping Rules: use rules to automatically apply a shipping method and packaging based on SKU, item name, etc. Learn more about using Shipping Rules to improve efficiency.
  2. Use previous selections: ShippingEasy remembers the carrier, service and packaging type used for every order that you ship. As new orders - with the same list of products - pull into your account, ShippingEasy will automatically default to the previous shipment selections that you made. Learn more about previous selections.
NOTE: the ShippingEasy skill does not currently support assigning a carrier, service and packaging to orders via voice commands. Let us know if you'd like ShippingEasy to add this option.

What do I need to know about purchasing postage with the ShippingEasy skill?

Primary USPS postage accounts are supported:

The ShippingEasy skill for Alexa will only report on and add money to the primary USPS account for your ShippingEasy account.

NOTE: the ShippingEasy skill does not currently support sub-accounts. Let us know if you'd like ShippingEasy to add this optionl.
