What does the USPS error message “service is not available to Guatemala” mean?

Created:   |   Updated:

If you see this error message, you are attempting to ship to Guatemala via a shipping service that has been temporarily suspended by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) for shipping to Guatemala.

Effective November 29, 2016, the USPS has suspended most mail services to Guatemala. This suspension is expected to be in effect until January 15, 2017.

For any shipments sent via a mail class other than Global Express Guaranteed, the Postal Service will endorse them “Mail Service Suspended – Return to Sender” and place them in the mail stream for return.

As such, Endicia, our label server, has disabled mail services that have been suspended to assist with this situation during the suspension.
