How to: Send a plain text email to my Customers

ShippingEasy's Customer Marketing provides many ways to email Customers. Learn more about Customer Marketing.

Campaigns are a way to send email messages with rich texts and graphics. Learn more. Other times you just need to send a simple message to your Customers. In those cases, a plain text email gets the job done quickly. Plain text emails can also be designated as transactional, making them compliant with more store platform terms and conditions. How to: Send a plain text email to a specific Customer, through their profile page

  1. From the blue navigation bar, expand the MARKETING tab and select CUSTOMER LISTS.

  2. From the CUSTOMERS page, locate the specific Customer you wish to email. Click the Customer name.

  3. On the Customer profile page, see what Email Status is indicated.
    • Available for Marketing shows if the customer can be sent marketing emails.

    • Not Available for Marketing shows if the customer can only be sent transactional emails.

  4. To send the email, click the Send Email button.

    NOTE: if this button is greyed out, then the platform through which the customer purchased prohibits sending any emails. See the store platform for options to contact the customer. Learn more.
  5. In the SEND EMAIL modal, fill in the Subject and Message.

  6. Determine if this is a marketing email. If so, check the box for The primary purpose of this communication is marketing. Checking the box above will add unsubscribe information to your email. Learn more.

  7. Once you finish drafting the message, click the Send button.

  8. If the email was successfully sent, a banner will appear to confirm that the message was sent.

How to: Send a plain text email to multiple Customers at once

  1. From the blue navigation bar, expand the MARKETING tab and select CUSTOMER LISTS

  2. From the CUSTOMERS page, locate the specific Customers you wish to email. You can also use filters to narrow down the list based on attributes. Learn more. Check the box next to each of Customer you will email.

  3. Click the Send Email button.

  4. In the SEND EMAIL modal, fill in the Subject and Message.

    I wish we could see the actual email the customer will see.... there's no html - add a link option - add a signature or anything... :(
