What is an Order Tag?

Created:   |   Updated:

Order Tags are custom-named values that shippers can use for many purposes. One of the more popular uses is to filter orders on the Orders page. They can also be used within Shipping Rules as both conditions and actions.

Unlike Order Categories, you can add multiple tags to a single order. So Order Tags can be used to indicate multiple attributes for an order.

For example: If an order should be shipped Priority Mail, you could add a "priority-mail" tag. If that same order is for a first-time buyer you can also add a "first-time" tag. You can use either or both tags when filtering the Orders page.
