An Estimated Delivery date is the carrier's best estimate of when a shipment will arrive at its destination. USPS delivery date estimates can also be calculated on the USPS Service Commitments site.
NOTE: USPS does not guarantee delivery by the Estimated Delivery date for any service, except Priority Mail Express. Learn more.
In ShippingEasy, Estimated Delivery dates are displayed for domestic USPS shipments that use these services:
- Priority Mail
- First Class
- Parcel Select
- Media Mail
Our calculation of Estimated Delivery date assumes that you hand the shipment to your carrier and it is scanned into the system at your local Post Office before the end of the business day.
NOTE: ShippingEasy does not calculate Estimated Delivery dates for USPS Priority Mail Express.
The Estimated Delivery date is displayed on a number of pages in ShippingEasy.
- In the "Est. Delivery" column
READY TO SHIP page:
- Next to Ship date menu
- Within Carrier Service menu
- Via the Browse rates link
How to: Find the Estimated Delivery date on READY TO SHIP
The Estimated Delivery date is displayed on the READY TO SHIP page to the right of the Ship date.
The Estimated Delivery date is also displayed in the list of service options under the Carrier Service drop down menu, when the Carrier is set to USPS.
It is also shown in the Browse Rates modal window.
NOTE: Estimated Delivery dates are not displayed for batch shipments on the READY TO SHIP page, because each shipment within the batch will have an Estimated Delivery date based on its distinct destination.
How to: Find the Estimated Delivery date on ORDERS
On the ORDERS page, there is an optional Estimated Delivery date column. Learn more about customizing columns.
NOTE: the Estimated Delivery date displayed on the ORDERS page is calculated when the rate quote for the order is calculated. The calculation assumes the current date as the shipment date. If ShippingEasy reads an order from your store on a Monday and a Shipping Rule assigns a USPS domestic service, the Estimated Delivery calculation assumes the shipment will occur on Monday.
To refresh the Estimated Delivery calculation that is shown on the ORDERS page, switch to a different Saved Selection. The Estimated Delivery date will be recalculated.
TIP: Delivery Confirmation emails can be configured to automatically notify you and your customers that their order has been delivered. These emails are sent when ShippingEasy receives notice from USPS that a package has been delivered. Learn more.
