What is Estimated Delivery Date?
The Estimated Delivery date is the carrier's best estimate of when a shipment will arrive at its destination. USPS delivery date estimates can also be calculated on the USPS Service Commitments site.
In ShippingEasy, Estimated Delivery dates are displayed for domestic USPS shipments that use these services:
- Priority Mail
- First Class
- Parcel Select
- Media Mail
Our calculation of the Estimated Delivery date assumes that you hand the shipment to your carrier and it is scanned into the system at your local Post Office before the end of the business day.
The Estimated Delivery date is displayed on the ORDERS and READY TO SHIP pages in ShippingEasy.
How to: Find the Estimated Delivery date on ORDERS
On the ORDERS page, there is an optional Estimated Delivery date column. Learn more about customizing columns.
The Estimated Delivery date displayed on the ORDERS page is calculated when the rate quote for the order is calculated. The calculation assumes the current date as the shipment date. If ShippingEasy reads an order from your store on a Monday and a Shipping Rule assigns a USPS domestic service, the Estimated Delivery calculation assumes the shipment will occur on Monday.
To refresh the Estimated Delivery calculation that is shown on the ORDERS page, switch to a different Shipping Preset. The Estimated Delivery date will be recalculated.
How to: Find the Estimated Delivery date on READY TO SHIP
The Estimated Delivery date is displayed on the READY TO SHIP page to the right of the Ship date.
The Estimated Delivery date is also displayed in the list of service options under the Carrier Service drop-down menu when the Carrier is set to USPS.
It is also shown in the Browse Rates modal window.
