Why is the total declared value different than what I entered?

ShippingEasy's customs forms require a whole hundredth of a decimal to be applied per line item.

For example:

If an international order has a quantity of 44 for one line item and you select "Override Customs Form" on the READY TO SHIP page to apply a total value of $100 for the shipment, our systems will apply $99.88.

The order value is divided by the line items:

$100 / 44= $0.2727272727 per line item.

The line item value is rounded to the hundredths and multiplied by the number of items:

$0.27 x 44 = $99.98 for the order value.
