Add Product SKUs to my Product Catalog | How To
ShippingEasy's Product Catalog provides a centralized hub to store all your product information. This information is then used to update your orders automatically, matching the product SKU to override data synced from your store.
If you use our Inventory Management, you can follow these same steps to add new products, update existing products, and update stock levels.
Product listings can be added one-by-one or all at once via CSV file (in bulk).
How to: Add individual Products
- Go to PRODUCTS then PRODUCT CATALOG from the drop-down.
- On the PRODUCTS page, click the Add Product button next to the item listing.
- On the "Add Product" page, enter the details of the listing.
SKU is required and must not contain any spaces.
- When finished, click the Save Product button.
How to: Add multiple Products via CSV file
A file with a complete listing of all your products will work just as well as one limited to only products with updates. ShippingEasy will review the file for (1) new items and (2) updated items. All others will be ignored. New items will be entered as new product listings. Updated items will be edited to reflect new weights.
- On the PRODUCTS page and with a prepared CSV file on hand, click the grey Add Products button and select Upload from .CSV.
- From the CSV file menu, click Browse. After selecting your file, click Upload file.
The ShippingEasy Account Owner will receive an e-mail once the upload is complete. This gives you the opportunity to continue shipping while the upload processes. - On the "Upload CSV: Product Import" page, map the "Source Column" to the "ShippingEasy Column". Then select Continue.
- Your file will be displayed in the "Current Uploads" section. Once ShippingEasy has finished processing the data, a green Ready button will appear. Click the button
In the event you need to download the CSV file you uploaded, to confirm or change something, simply click the file name in blue. - You'll have the option to review the data. Edit any fields that require an additional update by clicking the field. An edit dialog will appear. Once all the data looks in order, click the Complete Upload button.
- Your new products are now cataloged!
How to: Add multiple Products from your stores
If you have a supported store connected, you can select to import multiple products to update your catalog quickly with new SKUs, weights, and images. Importing products from your stores will also import any SKU variations as well as link SKUs between the product catalog and your store. For accounts with Inventory Management connected ShippingEasy will also set the initial stock level for newly added SKUs to match your store. Learn how to import products from your store.

Is there anyway to have the option to sync new products that I add to my BigCommerce store even if no one ordered those new products yet? I am constantly adding new products and re-adding the product data to shippingeasy just makes the whole adding new products to my system more time consuming and not "easy".
Hi Nitivel - That's an interesting questions! There's not a built in solution to handle this. However, have you tried adding test/dummy orders to your BigCommerce store which contain your new products?
I've been playing around with ways to flag these test orders and think I've worked out a process that could be replicated.
Note: I tried adding a custom shipping method, but found that this didn't save. If it can be saved, so that the exact option can be selected any time, it would be an alternative to selecting "None".
While these steps are customized to BigCommerce, I suspect that a similar approach could be used for any platform that allows for manual orders to be added and synced to ShippingEasy.
If you give this a try, I'd love to hear how it works for you.
