How do I install Java?

Java is free and easy to install for any operating system. You can download it offline or online. Below, we have provided the links to Oracle's website (the creator of Java) to download it online or offline for various operating systems. 

OS X:

Installation Guide for Mac

  • Platform(s): Macintosh OS X
  • Java version(s): 7.0, 8.0

Mac OS X System Requirements for Oracle Java 7 and later versions:

  • Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X version 10.7.3 and above
  • Administrator privileges
  • A 64-bit browser (e.g., Safari, Firefox, Chrome)
  • 32-bit browsers do not support Java 7 and later versions on the Mac platform

Windows:

Online

  • Platform(s): Windows 2008 Server, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows XP, Windows Server 2012, Windows Vista
  • Java version(s): 7.0, 8.0

Offline
