What is a Canadian zone for USPS Priority Mail International?

Created:   |   Updated:

USPS uses zones to determine Priority Mail International rates for shipments destined for Canada. Use the following table to determine for which zone your shipments qualify.

How to use this guide

The shipment origin zip code is used to determine the Canadian zone.

Gather the following information and then expand the drop downs to find out which zone corresponds to your origin zip code.

  1. Locate the correct reference table.
Using the second and third digits of your zip code to find the correct section below.
Example: The "Second and third digits 00-19" section for 90210.
  2. Expand the section to find the matching row.
Using the second and third digits of your zip code to find the row within the table.
    Example: "02" in 90210.
  3. Locate the column in the reference table.
Using the first digit of your zip code to locate the correct column.
    Example: "9" in 90210.
  4. Find the intersection of the column and row.
    This will reveal your zone.
    Example: Zone 1.1

Once you have determined the zone, use our Priority Mail International rate tables to determine the rate for which your shipments qualify.
