When filing a claim for a collectible or antique, Shipsurance may opt to cover the repair cost and not the value of the item.

If the item is repairable, in most cases Shipsurance will cover the cost of repairs, especially in the case of items being for display or for collections. In the case of the item being for resale and repair is not an option, then they will work with you to find a solution.
