How to: Export my product data from 3dcart

Created:   |   Updated:

3dCart allows you to easily export your product information, both general and specific. This article will explain how each of those processes work:

Run a General Product Information Export

  1. Go to Products > Export/Import
  2. In the "Export" section, click "Export Data" next to the information field you would like to export (Products, product pricing, products options, image gallery, products inventory, advanced options, and Categories).
  3. Click the link entitled "Click Here"
  4. Click "Open"
  5. Once opened, you be able to view your export list in the spreadsheet editor you have installed on your computer. We recommend Excel but if you do not have a spreadsheet editor, you may be able to use an alternative such as Google Drive's spreadsheet functionality.

Custom Export Set for Products

  1. Go to Products > Export/Import
  2. Click on the "Custom Export Sets" button in the Products section.
  3. Click the "Add New" button.
  4. Type the name of your custom export in the "Set Name" section.
  5. Click "Add".
  6. Add the categories of information you would like in your export in the "Add New" field.
  7. Once you have chosen the information fields you would like to include in your export, you can then edit them.
  8. Type in the "Alias" field if you need to change the field name.
  9. Type in the "Prefix" or "Suffix" fields if you need to add a prefix or suffix to the field name.
  10. Type the order you would like the columns to show in your spreadsheet once you run the export.
  11. Click "Update" next to the name field if you have made any changes.
  12. Click "Save Changes" once you have finished customizing your export.
  13. Click "Back" until you reach the Products Export/Import page.
  14. Click the radio button next to your custom export in the Products section.
  15. Click "Export Data".

3dCart supplies other suggestions for exporting your data such as pricing data and product options. You can see more about those processes at 3dCart's Support Page.

After following all of these steps, you can easily upload the final file into ShippingEasy by following this article on Adding items to your Product Catalog.
