How to: Cancel my ShippingEasy account

We're always sad to part ways with a customer, but we understand that sometimes you need to make hard decisions in the best interest of your business. If you've decided that it's time to close down your ShippingEasy account - we make it easy for you.

If you think that your business is too small to need ShippingEasy:

We'd love to be part of your growth journey and encourage you to check out our FREE Starter plan. This option allows you to ship up to 50 orders per month, but without a recurring subscription cost. The Starter plan includes Commercial Base shipping rates for USPS (savings compared to Retail, but not as cheap as Commercial Plus on the paid plans) and does not come with one-on-one support; but is great for smaller businesses. We'd like to hear your questions or concerns, so please reach out to our Support Team. Our team is happy to help you complete your account setup to get the fullest experience from ShippingEasy. If you have previously purchased postage or labels:

IMPORTANT: once your account is closed, you'll be unable to access your Shipment History or Endicia records. Gather this information before cancelling or consider downgrading your account.

Most businesses need to retain records of their Shipment History and Endicia transactions for filing their taxes. It's important to download this data before closing your ShippingEasy account, as it will be inaccessible once the accounts are closed. Use the following guides to collect your records:

If you're not sure that your ready to cancel, or you wish to retain access to these records online, consider downgrading your ShippingEasy account to the free Starter plan instead. Learn more.

When you're ready to move forward with closing your account:

As part of the closing process, we'll ask you for some feedback. We really do appreciate a candid response and take all customer feedback to heart - throughout the life of an account - as we're always striving to improve ShippingEasy.

Upon closure of your account, an automatic e-mail will be immediately sent to Endicia to close down any active Endicia account and initiate the refund of any remaining postage. Note, Endicia may require 2-3 weeks to refund postage balances.

IMPORTANT: do not disconnect your Endicia account from ShippingEasy. ShippingEasy can only close an Endicia account that is connected and visible on the POSTAGE AND CARRIERS page.
To close your ShippingEasy account:
  1. Go to SETTINGS on the blue navigation bar, then click SUBSCRIPTION & BILLING.
  2. Click the X Cancel My Account link.
  3. Check the box Yes, I'm sure I want to cancel my ShippingEasy account to activate the red Cancel My Account button.
  4. Check the box that most accurately describes your reason for cancelling. Please elaborate in the text box below.
  5. Click the Cancel My Account button.
  6. Come back and see us again when your in the market for a new shipping solution!

    I attempted to set up an account with Shipping Easy this morning and it would not agree that my physical address is valid. So I moved on but somehow received a Welcome Email even though I never created my account. I am unable to deactivate the account and I want to make sure my debit card will never be charged for this account that I can not use. When I follow your steps above, I'm brought back to the page I got hung up on in the first place where it's saying to add my address and cc information to register my account. I just want it deleted.

    Thank you so much for your post! 

    I'm so sorry to hear that there was an issue with the physical address. It looks like this address was not recognized and declined by Endicia while trying to register with them (via ShippingEasy). This can happen if you are using an address that USPS doesn't normally deliver to.

    It looks like you started setting up your account and did not complete it. Because your account has not been completed, we don't have an account to cancel. This also means that we do not have any billing information and you will not incur any charges to your account. 

    However, your email address is registered with ShippingEasy, so should you ever want to set up your account at a later date, you'll be able to complete your account set up.
