Process Gift Orders in ShippingEasy | How To
When your customer indicates that an order is a gift, ShippingEasy makes it easy to process that order.
Currently, gift order support is available for the following platforms:
- Amazon
- Americommerce
- Bigcommerce
- Etsy
- Magento
- Paypal
- Volusion
Find Gift Orders and View Messages on the Orders Page
Find Gift Orders
Find the Gift Box Icon
Gift orders are displayed with a gift box icon.
Filter to see only Gift Orders
To make it even easier to see all of your gift orders, you can use a filter on the ORDERS page.
- From the left hand filter menu, expand the Notes filter.
- Select Gift.
- Your ORDERS page will now only display gift orders.
View Gift Order Messages
Individual Orders
If you click on the order number, the popup will include any gift message that was requested by your customer.
Multiple Orders
Add the Gift Message column to the ORDERS page to see gift messages without the need for any additional clicks or popups. Learn more.
Customize Gift Order Email Notifications and Packing Slips
Create Custom Templates for Gift Orders
Use these to exclude prices on packing slips and notification emails when the order is intended as a gift.
You can also add the gift message on a packing slip or email.
- When editing a packing slip or confirmation email template, place the cursor in the section of the text where you would like the gift message to appear.
- Expand the Shipment Variables menu.
- Select Gift Message.
Alternatively, you can type {{shipment.gift_message}} where you would like the gift message to appear.

Use a Shipping Rule to Apply your Template
