How does it work?
ShippingEasy will automatically send queries to read the orders from your eBay account and then loads them into our application. You will see the orders from your eBay store on the ORDERS page in ShippingEasy as soon as you log in. Once orders have been shipped, ShippingEasy will update the shipment data to eBay.
How do I integrate eBay with ShippingEasy?
How often are my orders synced?
By default, orders are automatically synced hourly. However, you can disable this automatic order download and opt to manually sync your orders via the Sync with store button when you are prepared to ship them. Learn more about disabling automatic order downloads.
Are all orders sent from my eBay account to ShippingEasy?
Only "Complete" and unshipped eBay orders will sync with ShippingEasy. "Paid" orders will always sync; however, you can choose whether you'd like to sync "Unpaid" orders as well. By default, both these statuses will be configured to sync into ShippingEasy. Learn more about enabling eBay order statuses.
What happens if I click the Sync with Store link on the ShippingEasy ORDERS page?
The Sync with Store link prompts ShippingEasy to pull through orders, in an approved status.
If your store is set up for automatic hourly order downloads, Sync with Store will bring your orders in sooner than the time of the usual hourly sync.
If you have disabled the automatic order download, you must use Sync with Store to download your orders.
It can take 15-20 minutes for orders to populate after selecting Sync with Store.
How do I get existing eBay orders sent to my new ShippingEasy account?
ShippingEasy automatically goes back 14 days. If you have orders older than 14 days old, you can create manual orders for these shipments. Learn more here.
If you are on a paid plan, you will see links on the blue navigation bar to contact our Support Team for assistance; it may be possible to sync your older orders. Keep in mind the orders must be in a syncable status. When you contact us, please provide:
- eBay "record numbers" that did not pull into ShippingEasy
- Date the orders were created.
- The orders' statuses.
If I cancel an order in eBay, will it automatically be cancelled in ShippingEasy?
Yes. In fact, if an order present on the ORDERS page is cancelled or marked as shipped in eBay, then ShippingEasy will remove the order from your ShippingEasy account.
Note: in order for a customer to cancel an eBay order, they must send a request to the seller. Only when the seller approves the cancellation request will the order be removed from ShippingEasy.
If I refund an order in eBay, will it automatically be removed from ShippingEasy?
No, when you refund an order in eBay it is moved from "Awaiting Shipment" status to "Awaiting Payment". As the order is not cancelled in eBay, ShippingEasy will not remove it from your account.
Note: since ShippingEasy has a read-only API with eBay stores, the status of your order will not update when an order is refunded. It will stay listed as "Awaiting Shipment" in ShippingEasy. If your customer is not cancelling the order, you may want to use Order Notes or Order Categories to flag the order for special handling. Learn more about Order Notes and Order Categories.
Why are my orders not downloading from eBay?
If you have not already, please click ""Sync with Store"" from the ORDERS page. If this has been done already, and you have waited at least 20 minutes with no success, it could be due to one of a few factors:
- Have you subscribed to eBay's free Selling Manager? A Selling Manager subscription is required to sync your orders from eBay. Learn more about Selling Manager.
- Automatic order download has been turned off. If your account has been idle or you have disable the automatic order download, you will need to click the Sync with Store button on the ORDERS page to prompt your orders to download. Learn more about disabling automatic order downloads.
- Check the status of the order. ShippingEasy can only sync "Complete" orders in Awaiting Shipment or Awaiting Payment status. Furthermore, you can customize if paid and/or unpaid orders sync - learn more. If the order is in a non-syncable status at the time of the sync, it will not sync automatically.
- Verify the order date. The initial order sync will bring in orders placed within the last 14 days. Future orders should sync as long as they are in a status that syncs.
- Confirm that your eBay store is connected to ShippingEasy. Any changes made to your store settings (such as a password update) will require you to update the API information you entered when you first integrated. Check SETTINGS >> STORESto confirm if your store is active. If the Reconnect button is present, select this and re-enter your integration credentials. Learn more about locating your credentials.
- Authentication Token may have expired. They need to be reauthenticated every 18 months. Learn more.
How are order status values mapped from eBay to ShippingEasy?

Can I view the Buyer ID for my pre-shipment orders?
Yes, you can configure the columns on the ORDERS page to display the Buyer ID for your orders. Learn how to customize the column headers on the ORDERS page.
Which order number is displayed in ShippingEasy?
The Record number. eBay doesn't have order numbers officially assigned to orders. They are considered similar to reference numbers and there are a few types of reference numbers used that vary depending on whether the order is an auction item vs. buy it now. It also depends on the product code itself in the eBay system (similar to a SKU). Learn more about locating the record number in eBay.
How are orders handled by ShippingEasy that are combined in eBay before syncing?
For orders that are combined within eBay (before coming into ShippingEasy), ShippingEasy will display a single order number.
ShippingEasy also stores the original order numbers as a hybrid number, available in the Alternate Order Number field. This number can also be searched from the Global Search bar.
Are product SKUs displayed in ShippingEasy?
ShippingEasy uses the "Custom Label" field from eBay for SKU, but only if it contains a value. Learn more.
Are product weights displayed in ShippingEasy?
Are product options displayed in ShippingEasy?
Are warehouse locations displayed in ShippingEasy?
No. However, you can set up a Product Catalog in ShippingEasy to map warehouse locations to specific SKUs. Learn more about the Product Catalog.
What information is sent back from ShippingEasy to eBay?
When you create a shipment for an order that was synced with eBay, ShippingEasy updates to your store by marking the order as "Shipped" and provides eBay with the ship date, carrier name and tracking number (if included).
If I drop ship (mark as shipped) an eBay order in ShippingEasy, will the order get updated in eBay?
Yes. ShippingEasy will update with order with a "Shipped" status. If a valid tracking number is provided, we will also update the tracking number back to eBay.
If I combine two orders in ShippingEasy, do both orders get updated in eBay?
Yes. ShippingEasy will update each order with a "Shipped" status. If a service that includes tracking was selected, we will also update the tracking number back to eBay for each order.
If I create a duplicate shipment from SHIPMENT HISTORY in ShippingEasy, will the tracking number update on eBay?
No. Once an order has received tracking information in eBay, it will not receive new tracking information from subsequent duplications of the same order, shipped in ShippingEasy.
If I split an order in ShippingEasy, will ShippingEasy update both tracking numbers to eBay?
If you split the quantity of the order, only the most recently shipped order will update eBay with a tracking number.
If you split line items, each tracking number will go back to the original order.
Note: there is no concept of partial shipments in eBay. There is no option to purchase multiple items and send them to multiple recipients. Each overall order has a single recipient.
Will ShippingEasy send email notifications to my eBay customers when their orders ship?
You have the option to send email notifications from ShippingEasy to your customers. Learn how to send email notifications from ShippingEasy and how to customize these emails.
Note: ShippingEasy will not notify your customer when an eBay Global Shipping order has been processed.
What kind of security is required to integrate my store?
When integrating, eBay will require that you agree to grant ShippingEasy access to your eBay account. eBay may ask you to answer some security questions to verify your account before allowing it to connect with ShippingEasy. This is to ensure privacy and security when connecting your store with a 3rd party application such as ShippingEasy.
How does eBay Global Shipping work with ShippingEasy?
The eBay global shipping program allows eBay sellers to sell to international customers without having to cover the international postage.
International customers will place the orders with their international address, but the merchant will send it to the eBay distribution center, and then eBay sends it overseas.
