Mark an Order as Shipped - Drop Ship | How To

If you have orders that are drop shipped or processed by a third party, you can opt to select and mark these as Shipped, add a tracking number, and notify your store/buyer. You can edit individual orders or multiple at a time.

Orders marked as shipped will count towards your monthly label use. Drop shipped orders will adjust stock levels, by moving stock from committed to shipped.

There are several key benefits to marking your orders as shipped, versus deleting them:

  1. You retain a record of the shipment in your Shipment History.
  2. If you provide a valid tracking number, ShippingEasy will update your store with the shipment information.
  3. Drop shipped orders are included in your shipment Reports.
  4. Prepaid return labels can be created for drop shipments. Learn more about creating prepaid return labels.

Mark as Shipped: Single order

  1. To mark items that have been shipped to your customers, first, click on the ORDERS tab from anywhere in your account.
  2. Locate the order that has been drop shipped. Click on the Actions menu on the right from the order labeled "Status" and select Mark as Shipped.
Make sure to print any packing slips needed for your drop-shipped orders before marking them as shipped.
It is not possible to print packing slips for orders, once they are marked as shipped.

  3. A modal window will appear. Enter the item's Tracking Number and select the Carrier.

If you do not have a tracking number for the order, you can still check the box to Update order status to 'Shipped' in my store.
Only carriers configured within your ShippingEasy account will be available from the menu. Learn how to add additional carriers.
  4. Select Save and ShippingEasy will transfer the order records to your SHIPMENT HISTORY, as well as update your store if requested.

Would love if this feature was available from the 'Ready to ship' page. Having to send the order back to the orders page before being able to mark it as shipped can get confusing as new orders are arriving all the time.

We "print packingslips/create shipments" for all of our orders at once, and then process everything from the Ready to Ship page.

Hi Steve - This is a great suggestion! I've passed it along to our Product Team for consideration.

Is there a way to undo this "mark order as shipped"? I am testing out all these features on a sample order and cannot undo this.

Hi Melanie, unfortunately it is not possible to reverse or undo an order marked as shipped. If you mistakenly mark a real order as shipped, you will need to recreate the order manually using the steps in the link below.

How to: Add a Manual Order

Please also keep in mind that any orders you mark as shipped will count towards your monthly label volume like regularly purchased labels.

Is it possible to add a custom shipper as the shipper we use is not listed in the dropdown when we enter a tracking number.

Hello Lloyd!

Currently, we only have USPS and FedEx as an option for the drop down on the Mark As Shipped modal window. The ability to have more options, along with custom options is currently a feature request.  Would you mind replying on our current open Feature Request forum?. Posting in these forums will allow you to be notified when this option is released by our development team.  Here is the link:

Thanks!

Hi Lloyd,

The Feature Requests are prioritized and released by the Product Team.  There is a wide range there, however, we deploy new features once per week.   I recommend keeping an eye out for the emails from Jack Ship and also following our Product Update blog here

We will also comment on the Feature Request Forum directly on the thread so you know the feature has been released.
