What is FedEx Home Delivery?

FedEx Home Delivery is a residential shipping service that provides convenience and flexibility for your recipient. It’s available in all 50 states and depending on shipment destination, delivery occurs within 1-7 business days. Home Delivery has an additional surcharge per package.

FedEx Home Delivery Features:

  • Service Days: Monday−Saturday. Delivery is between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. FedEx Ground picks up packages Monday−Friday. FedEx Home Delivery will NOT pick up packages on Saturdays.
  • Package size and weight: Up to 150 lbs., 108" in length, 165" in length plus girth (L+2W+2H).

Is FedEx Ground the same as Home Delivery?

Ground delivers mostly to businesses, while Home Delivery delivers mostly to residences.

Is FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery cheaper?

If your residential customers require Saturday delivery, they can choose Home Delivery. Otherwise, FedEx Ground is almost always a cheaper option.

What time does FedEx Home Delivery deliver?

FedEx will deliver between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Do you have to be at home for FedEx Home Delivery?

If no one is available to sign for the package, FedEx will either deliver the package to a safe place without obtaining a signature or attempt to redeliver the package on another date. If you choose the option 'Direct Signature Required,' FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at the delivery address only.

Does FedEx Home Delivery have tracking?

Yes. FedEx Delivery Manager lets you track, redirect and reschedule deliveries coming to your home.
